| The association acts as a link between the various levels of trade, i.e. manufacture, wholesale, retail and market trade. |
DKGV's deals with various different questions, partially relating to pharmaceutical law and food law, and which - owing to the diversified membership structure - (retail trade, market trade) also extend to legal provisions governing trade and competition. Central issues are:
- Distinctions between pharmaceutics, foodstuffs and cosmetics
- Maximum residue limits, contaminants, hazardous substances in foodstuffs
- Pharmacopoeia regulations, monographies
- Guidelines for tea, herbal infusions and spices
- Correct labelling of foodstuffs
- Non-prescriptive pharmaceutics
- Technical questions concerning advertising, pricing, fair competition
The association keeps its members informed through regular newsletters about all relevant issues, in particular concerning the application of existing law and legislators' intentions. |
