The German Tea Council was established 55 years ago by members of the German tea trade together with the Tea Boards of the producing countries India, Kenya and Sri Lanka.
The objective is to promote and encourage the sale and consumption of tea in Germany through advertising, market research and any other method. |
| The German Tea Council is dedicated to enhancing the image of tea - Camellia sinensis - in Germany. Public relations is the main instrument used for this purpose, i.e. news for the media, market information, sales promotion measures, hints for consumers and newsletters for the speciality tea shops which constitute its membership. The Tea Council also answers directly to technical questions from the speciality tea shops, and has a hotline for queries from the media and consumers in general. |
